n00b here with hopefully an easy question. I have a 98 SL-1. I changed the radiator in it recently, and now it is getting hot. The AC fan will not kick on whenit is turned on. Ichanged the ECTS and nothing. Jump the fan relay and the fan turns on. I used a test light at the fan motor connection and I have no power. Whats up?? Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks.

RagTopMan ..

Jumpering the fan relay shows power is available, and the wiring to the fan is working (you said the fan runs when you do that).

You changed the ECTS. Good, but the new one could be bad. With the engine totally cold, disconnect the ECTS; measure and record the resistance across the contacts. Next, start the engine, and run until it reaches operating temperature. Shut the engine down;measure and record the ECTSresistance again. Finally, turn the key to the RUN position, but do not start the engine. Readand record the voltage being supplied to the ECTS from the PCM.

From the information above, we shgould be able to deduce the proper repair ...
