Ac not working blowing hot air
Hi im new at this, so i wanted to ask a question. I have a 98saturn sl i've had it for 3years now and the ac always worked till one day it stop working (blowing cold) and i've been trying to fix it but seem not to work. So i bought some freon and tryed it but nothin, and some leak detector freon and didnt work to. I went out to the junk yard and got about 5 sensers that go's on one of the lines thats next to the fuse box changed it but still didnt work. The clutch dose engage and spins fine. So have anyone had this problem or could help me Thanks

Well, it seems like you have been throwing parts at this problem for some time without results. How long has it been since the A/C first stopped working - a week, a month, several months, what?
In your statement, you state, ..."the clutch dose(sic) engage and spins fine"... Since you apparently are familiar with air conditioning, what are the suction and discharge pressures when the car is off (not running), and also what are the pressures when the car is running and the compressor is turning?

My air conditioning recently stopped blowing cold air as well as my friend's compressor failed and now that we have a new one on it isn't working. Our troubleshooting has led us to replace the expansion valve next. Have yet to accomplish this task and was looking to see if anyone else has had this issue?
So my suggestion is if your compressor is working and it has the appearance that it is trying to work, but not getting the correct high and low pressures is to replace the expansion valve and let us know.
