is it much different to change an auto in an sl1 than the manual? there is this guy that says he will trade me two 1989 acura legends for some work. what he really needs is a trans put into a 93 sl1 identical to my 95 accept ofcorse the bags, and tint windows, plus it has different hubcaps (i had factory). i have already had to replace the trans in my 95 5spd when i got it so i pretty much know what there is to it.

here is a link to the car on craigs list (the 93 sl1)

btw the mirrors broke off during towing. he used the mirrors as a tie down with a two wheel dolly and says he went over some tracs, lost the mirrors, and the car went the wrong way down the hill... lol

actually its easier you dont have to hook up all the clutch lines and all that just hook the transmission up plug in the shifter cable, fluid line and reverse switch and thats pretty much it

Its pretty much the same. More electrical connectors, a little harder to seperate from the engine and the shift cable is a little harder to remove. Plus its a lot heavier. Also the trannys are pretty much year specific and very hard to find a good used one.
