My Girlfriends 93 Saturn started to get some belt squeal recently. Its now almost a constant thing. I've been looking all over to see how to tighten the thing, but I cant seem to find it. Can somebody please enlighten this Saturn noob. Btw, its the DOHC.

Sounds likeshe needs a new belt or idler/tensioner pulley. I would start with the belt first. Her car probably has a serpentine belt that is self adjusting by a tensioner pulley. Edited by: answerman

Indeed--

Replace belt first. You'll need to release the tension by pivoting the tensioner. If the new belt does not cure the squeal, don't run it too long without replacing the tensioner--or the new belt may get hosed.

Tensioner replacement is not uncommon on the S cars.

I agree with answerman's input. Your serpentine belt a.k.a. saturn multi rib belt is probably due for replacement. The sound that it produces is indeed annoying. My friend has the same problem before.
