I have a 99 Saturn SL with a SOHC engine. The temp lights start flashing after a few minutes of the engine running. The temp. gauge is reading fine and goes no where near over heating. How do I fix this issue? Thanks for the help in advance.

Check to see if you have the correct coolant level. If you dont, add coolant. If you do, remove the coolant resevoir tank and throughly clean it out with hot water and dish soap. If that doesnt solve the problem, a new resevoir tank is needed. The sensor inside isnt replacable.
