Default Carsaturn tranny rebuild kit

Thinking of getting it. Has anyone used it? Review, opinions, ease of use, or difficulty greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance.

Do you mean this one?

Saturn S-Series Transmission Repair Kit - CarSaturn
_____________
While the rebuild quality might be higher than rebuilt valve bodies available on ebay, $500 seems a bit steep for

Rebuilt Valve body
impact deep socket
new input shaft nut
new tranny cover gasket

I was amused by the seemingly irrelevant torqueing of the new input shaft nut. Considering the reason for the problem is that the nut works its way loose, I'd think they would care a little bit more about ensuring proper torque specs are met

Do you have reverse slam, shifting issues, or both?

BOTH!!! Reverse & 2nd gear are virtually gone. Could purchase a used one @ a salvage yard for $350 w/ a little less mileage the the motor.

I would keep looking at salvage yards. I just found a 4t40e for $150.00 that only had 59,000 miles on it. It was local and could pick it up which saved me the cost of shipping.
