I am fairly new to the site and had a question for you guys. Well my question is that when I have my lights on my entire dash lights starts to blink it seems random. I thought it could be my stereo messing with it but it continues to blink even with the stereo going. Now my CD deck is starting to blink andI was wondering if you could help me fix this its staring to bug me.My stereo systemcontainsa subwoofer, amp. I have a high output altenator and a new battery. So I am not sure what it could be.

If they all blink totally out and in no particular pattern or rythm I would look at your ground connection. Couldnt tell you where it might be but it sounds like either htat or your fuse is loose which is unlikely. If they just fade in and out when you have the stereo cranked its because you are drawing too much current with the stereo and you should probably upgrade the alternator.

Default Mine has done that too, 02 sc1

I have found that there a small short or loose connection to the dash/instrument lights at the plug connection, I haven't resolved the issue yet but at least I know where the issue is, it seems that I need to look at the pin connection at the one wire I think its color is brown wire, mine does the flicker or dim or go out completely, I don't drive this car everyday so while it's an annoyance I have taken the time to correct it yet but at lease I know the cause.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Tim,

Although I last discussed this question 13 years ago, I remember it like it was yesterday.
IMy Saturn has had 2 different owners after me, so I'll be sure to
