i wonder what the difference would be (to the PCM) in the two different manual transmissions...i know that in the Ford Ranger(the vehicle in which i am the most studied) the PCM doesn't care what manual trans it's attached to, just so long as it is still getting signal from a VSS unit...

Must be different between SL1 and SL2. Mine is an SL with a 5 speed 3000 rpm @ 80 mph. AT 99 mph, I'm not looking either.

Cool well it sound like its about normal with everybody else. Thats good to know. Guess I'll just ride on and not worry about it. Thanks for all the responses. This forum has been awesome.

Ive been a member of many different forums, from Mustangs to Jeep XJs and I have gotten more great info from this one the short time I have been a member!
