These are pretty easy to change. You handled the shifter cable so you should be able to handle this. You disconnect the rod from the pedal under the dash and use something to keep the pedal from falling (tie it up or something). The master cylinder comes out with a 1/8th turn CW. The slave is a little more involved but nothing you won't figure out pretty quickly.

By clutch hydraulics I was meaning a line or the master cylinder, or the slave cylinder... Either of these could be handled pretty easily if you can change the shifter cable...

I see. I just unhooked the cables and attached them, again. I was wondering if I am handling the grommet, correctly. Any helpful hints on installing the grommet into the firewall? I probably overlooked, something.

Sorry, I'm attempting to explore ALL options before I drop $140 on a master cylinder kit. I'm pretty tight on the funds, right now, and work isn't giving me the hours.

$80 + shipping at Rockauto.com

If you have ramps, have someone step on the clutch pedal and watch the slave cylinder and see if it moves. If it moves completely through its range, then there is something wrong inside the clutch like a bad throwout bearing or pressure plate, but these usually make a lot of noise when the engine is running and you step on the clutch pedal.

There should be a bleed valve somewhere in the system, you could try to bleed it. Look on the slave cylinder for one.

from what I know, the bleed valve is meant only for factory use when assembling.

Nevertheless I have seen people on other forums argue about that fact that it can be bled and they all have their own wonky ways to do it. So I dunno

I have read the thread and I have no clue what this means.
Take off rather fast?
What is that supposed to mean?

Do you have a clutch problem or do you have a shifting problem.
If you can not define the problem, then recommending a fix is a bit difficult.

My car will not shift while it is turned on, but once I turn it off, there is no problem with the shifter. I can start the car in gear, and it will begin to move forwards.

That's what that meant. Hope you understand it, now.
