I have a 1996 Saturn Sl1.... with a slight problem....the car runs great, but the water temp light starts to blink on occasion. The water temperature is fine.... but the light blinks. i have changed the water temp switch 3 times... but the problem persists. also, i noticed that it usually blinks after a tight turn.

anyone have an idea???Edited by: Yuriy M

Yeah, its not the temperature sensor. The sensor inside the overflow tank gets gummed up and causes the light on the dash to illuminate. Its telling you the coolant is low, not that you're overheating.

Remove the tank and clean it out with dish soap. If you're lucky, this will solve the problem. If not, you'll need a new tank. The sensor is not removable.
