Default Headlight Compatability

Spelling is poor i know, sorry for that,I am new to the forum and i have my first of many questions.I have been looking for projector headlamps for my 2000 sl- and i can't find any,as a last resort i will make some but the question i have is that will a 96-99 fit the mounting?I have seen quite a bit of those<i was just wondering if i could use those and change the turn signal to a colored bulb.

Good luck with your searches... most of the ones I run across here in south Mississippi have hit something, and the lights are useless
