Question Instrument Cluster

This is quite taxing on me. My instrument cluster had to be removed to do some mods to it. I had to remove the modules. After replacement, Everything is fine except the fuel gauge and temp gauge. It is like they are half off. I tested all the electrical to it and it is good according to alldata. I have removed the cluster and tried to realign the needles. They are properly placed but as soon as I run the car they move back to where the were. Is there a way to reset them ?

I'm just wondering what kind of "mods" had to be performed on the instrument cluster??

Wink

Sorry, I should have clarified that. I added day glo lights so I removed the flexible curcuit board and the modules so as not to damage any of it while I drilled holes to feed the wires out the side. Like I said. I checked the flexible board and modules per AllData and all things are good there. Also in messing with the needles after this started, I notices the inside of the modules has notches but the blocker was on the correct side. Looking for an image to show you what I mean.

If it were mine....... I'd buy another one, stick it in and if it worked ................ LEAVE IT STOCK !
Just what I would do

Thanks for your recommendation. But I like my gauges. I will get it figured out someday.
