Default Need any Parts? 97 Saturn SL1 / Northern VA

The car has run great for many years, but alas - at 156K the clutch is slipping, needs brakes and a replacement windshield, serpentine belt, sunroof no longer works, etc. So rather than pumping in $2K+ it's time to put this baby out to pasture. Radio/CD works great, door/window switches, visors, etc. Should I cannibalize it?

1) brakes are a DIY on these cars
2) so is serp belt
3) most sunroofs don't work so a buyer shouldn't be surprised if you tell them up front

I would fix the windshield (comprehensive claim on your insurance), be honest (as you have been describing the vehicle's issues), and post it for sale as a running vehicle -- someone willing to tackle the clutch issue as a DIY will buy it -- you'd be surprised.

These cars are sought after in today's market for their excellent gas mileage.....

Plus parting out eats up your time disassembling stuff...
