Default Put in a new radio, dashboard lights now out

I put in a new radio last night, and lo and behold, now my interior dashboard lights don't work. My shift light, signal indicators, brights, oil lamp, etc. all work fine, but if I am driving in the dark, I can't tell how fast I'm going. From the user manual and Haynes, it appears that I couldn't have blown a fuse because other lights (like the dome light) that are on the same fuse still work.

Also, the light in my cupholder doesn't appear to work.

Thoughts? I'm stumped and driving by iPod light and hoping the person in front of me is going the speed limit is going to get old very fast. :-)

Thanks!
TM

Did you simply replace the original radio with another OEM unit, or did you go exotic? If you went exotic, did you use an adapter plug, or did you simply hack into the existing wire bundle?

I went "exotic" (for what it's worth, heh) and used an adapter plug.

Thanks,

The adapter is an aftermarket adapter that I purchased at Best Buy. Don't know the make/model of that off the top of my head.

From the discription of the symptom, it sounds as if what is not working are the lights controled by the dimmer control for dash board lights. That would be on a seperate curcuit from the ones you mentioned. That would have been one of the inputs to the new radio too.

OK, thanks. I'll triple-check for anything I missed.
