Sorry, I really can not help. I generally have a budget to adhere to and if the car has a working exhaust system I generally have found that spending money to fix something that is not broken in the exhaust is usually pretty much a waste of money. Which means to me, spending some where else on the car is generally a better place to spend it. So good luck. A good $100.00 is a pretty good deal.

Yeah i got a good deal on the car,i need a fender and passenger mirror, and i needed a clutch, and since i was lazy i umm put the car to a buddies shop to fix it,after 6 months and no fix and paying them i got the car back and my 1's and 4000 watt amp was gone ipod and stereo and starter and windshield cracked from playing the radio to loud, and the synchros are out in second, yeah so i was going to treat the car to some rewards for just still running.lol she deserves it.I am out a lot of money just in a clutch repair. So i am going to put a new trans in myself in a month at tax time, and figured just do a few things to it so i like driving it,and then give it to my girlfriends son in about 2 years when he needs a car and start on a project after this.I hate the exhaust sounds like a moped so something has to give. And by the way thanks for the conversation and responses, it means alot to me i appreciate it.

On a side-note, some of the other vids that were listed alongside the one you posted were pretty entertaining also...I always suspected that due to the light weight of our Saturns the dohc 1.9's would react well to turbo boost and other mods to complement....I wouldn't do it to mine, with 200k on the clock, but seriously entertaining to watch....

Im thinking abou doing some mods when my engine goes, but im not modding anything until that time comes,im going to weld a exhaust on myself rolly from ebayand a system and maybe a coldair and be done,But he turbo will come when i have to rebuild my engine and not a moment before i have 185k on mine so kinda pointless as you said.

I guess when things like this happen I get a bit testy about it. Mostly because when it comes down to it nothing can be done about it and you can't even get any satisfaction from it.
I bought a Volkswagon from my Daughter when she bought a new car. I knew she had taken good care of it and spent stupid money on repairs due to people taking advantage of her.
When I bought it a dingling noise was being made in a rear brake. She told me "her" mechanic estimated $1000.00 in repairs.
A clip had come loose and was dingling around.
I also went and saw to it that minor problems were taken care of. The super Beetle had a fresh air fan in the dash board that was effective at moving fresh air. It was missing. I asked her about it and she said it had quit working while at her mechanic when he did over another $1000.00 in brakes.
Wrong
Things like that should never happen.
And
Personally?
I have never spent anywhere near a Grand on brakes ever!!!!
Even when doing a full blow drum to disc conversion.
As to your sound system parts gone same thing. Wrong!!!!!
That should never happen. I'm old school enough where I have never had anything like that and I am just learning enough about them to install something in my Hornet I am building that will have AM/FM and CD with a Satellite option and no speakers in the doors.
I am not going to spend money doing an interior just to cut it up to put speakers in doors. I am going to use tweeters in front for fill and hide them under the dash and build a speaker/amplifier cabinet in the back that will be carpeted or covered to match the interior decor of the cargo area.

If you are planning to replace your transmission some where along the line due to 2nd gear syncro's being gone I am not a big believer in automobile fixit stuff in a can as to making a magic fix on things although some things have been effective at the time on specific items. I have had partial success using STP in an standard transmission in making syncro problems less of a problem. And if it doesn't work it won't hurt anything to have it in there.
