Rattling noise in 1994 SL2

Solved!!!
Alright guys so i solved the problem!!
It turns out it was actually the timing chain guides, the top guide had literally broken off and was stuck up against the timing chain cover, there wasn't enough room for the piece to go down and around so it got lodged there and the timing chain was basically slowly chainsaw-ing away at the metal piece and moving it slightly while the car was on, hence the rattling.
replaced all 3 guides because they were very worn down and the plastic on the bottom 2 was broken as well.
heres a picture of the culprit- the top guide
The one on the left (obviously) is the new guide and the one on the right was what was in there.
