Default Transmission or Clutch Problem??? Please help

HI, I have a 1996 dohc sl2 with 97,000 miles. The car has sat in storage for over a year now, I just started working on it again, had a blown head gasket and needed a new started. Finished replacing the head gasket yesterday, just waiting for the starter to arrive in the mail.
The car is still on jack stands and when its in gear i can spin the wheels but the motor doesn't spin. Is something wrong with the clutch because the car sat for so long?? The clutch feels fine, I can put in every gear. Just not sure why when i spin the wheels by hand while its in gear the crank shaft doesn't move. Thanks for the help in advance.

Are you spinning both wheels in the same direction at the same time?

No, I was only spinning the drivers side wheel.

you need to spin both wheels, the transaxle allows one wheel to slip to make up for the vehicle turning.
