Anybody ever replaced a windshield on a 91-95 SL? There are several in the local junkyard for $20.00 if I pull it. To have a new one installed runs in the $325-400 range. I don't have $400 in the wholecaryet. Edited by: Rew W

It is Saturn-only glass (I believe), so anyone replacing it has to buy the glass from Saturn approx ($175-$200) and then whack you for a markup plus labor on the install. I know this used to be the case--don't know if aftermarket glass is available....

I've heard these windshields are quite a pain in the *** to do. I would also be wary of a junkyard windshield, especially if it comes off a vehicle where the front portion of the frame has been distorted--the glass may be under significant stress/distorted just enough that the fit on your car will not be correct (read: LEAK).
