I need to know what colors go where for the 8 wire harness in the trunk upper wheel well, driver side near the trunk hinge.
The gray, orange/black, and black wires broke off, so the trunk light and trunk open dashboard light do not work. I was able to pull out the prongs and solder the wires back on, but I do not know which order to put them back in....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks Mike,
The trunk light works again. The trunk open indicator does not light up?? I checked all of the fuses, but I will have to try and diagnose this further.

Yes, I am the original owner, 200,000 miles
I was wondering if the bulb burned out about the same time the wires broke?
The back light for the mileage burned out, but for this year's model there is not just a bulb that can be replaced. So I don't know if this is the same for the trunk indicator? the up-shift and change oil lights still work, which are next to the trunk indicator.

the trunk open light does have its own bulb and idk about the 00-02 but on the 95 the trunk open light only works on the wagons. but i have looked at some other gauges at the junk yard and there are some different ones. i saw one that was a 96-99 with a digital odometer and a low fuel light instead of a shift light. also from looking at my cluster there are some different lights on mine that dont even work, service light (not service engine), cat over temp, hot light on the heat gauge, dtrl, and a few others that dont work because i dont have those options , traction control, abs.... so i took the bulb out of one of these other ones when my shift light went out....

I will have to see if I can get to it.I have the abs and traction control, but if I can get to it then I can probably pick up another one.
Also I have 120,000 miles not 200,000 I just can' type.
