Default '08 Vue XE Fog Lights

Hey gang,

I wanted to see what information you could offer me about buying and installing a set of fog lights in my wife's Vue. Are there any particular ones that are a really nice fit and of decent quality but not super expensive? I'm looking for something that would be as close to a stock appearance as possible...nothing flashy or off color. Mounting looks to be very easy as there are knock-outs in the front bumper. Any information would be great appreciated.

thanks!

I'd try to contact your local GM dealership, and see what it would cost for a couple of OEM assemblies. Second choice would be to haunt the local Pull-a-Part yards, and see if you could locate a wreck with the part(s) you need .....

I just tried both options. The local dealer told me they didn't have the fog light accessory package anymore as "they stopped making the cars back in 2010". I knew I was in trouble after hearing that genious line. I tried a couple of local yards and neither had anything that new that wasn't wrecked in the front. I'm starting to look at aftermarket lights as they'll be a lot less expensive and will do the job just fine.

Still looking for tips on a good set for this car if anybody has any info.

Too bad your VUE ain't an '02 thru '05 model ... OEM lamps are about $20.00usd ea through the Internet. Need to look some more for the '08 models, I guess.

www.saturnparts.net

These look like the foglamps themselves

Can't tell though -- call them.

No clue on harness or switch.

Or if they have any left.

Default Fog Lamps on an '08 VUE XE

I would like to install foglamps on my '08 VUE XE as well..... But as I see it, you need not only the fixtures but the foglight switch for the dashboard; and can this just be plugged into the existing harness, or can it be wired to the low beam headlight wiring (and where to tap it)?

Another possibility is to just install a separate switch, but that isn't as nice if you to cut a whole in the dash to accommodate a new switch....

I found these, and similar ones on eBay...

I found OEM fixtures, but they are like, $185 each.

I found these on eBay as well:
